Field Trip #1
VAJONT: Landslide and dam
Topic: The site of the worst landslide disaster in European history, where everything remained as it was.

LANGHE: Landslides and wines
Topic: Tasting landslides and wines in one of Italy’s most famous wine regions.

CIVITA e ORVIETO: Landslides and cultural heritages at the border of an ancient volcano
Topic: The interaction between landslides and human activities resulting in a unique cultural landscape.

CAMPANIA: Slope instabilities in Campania region
Topic: Landslides in pyroclastic terrains and structurally complex formations in the region of Napoli.

THE POGGIO BALDI LANDSLIDE MONITORING LAB
Topic: A field laboratory for testing new technologies for landslide monitoring.
18 November 2023 – 1 FULL DAY (NO ACCOMMODATION)
Departure on 18/11 at 8:00 – return to Florence on 18/11 at approx. 20:00
Preliminary cost estimate – 130,00 € per person
Both the field trip program and the preliminary cost estimate are tentative and will be finalized based on the actual number of participants, on the accommodation facilities, the transportation availability, and on the updated costs.
Pre-registration is open until 30 June 2023, no payment is required at this stage.
Each field trip will be reconfirmed only if the minimum number of 20 pax is reached.
